Newborn Specialist

Job Description - Commonly known as a 'Baby Nurses', Newborn Specialists are extensively trained and experienced in all aspects of newborn baby care and parental education and support. Newborn specialists are usually called upon right after childbirth and come home for a few weeks after a child/children is brought home to help the parents with all aspects of newborn care including feeding, changing, bathing, infant laundry, sterilizing bottles and helping parents catch up on much-needed rest. Many newborn specialists may offer additional services such as helping with meals, laundry, etc. These services should be discussed directly between families and candidates. Newborn specialists are often retained for even longer after given the tremendous benefits and convenience they offer to employing families.
